Are any of you still in contact with any of your elementary school teachers? What is the link that keeps you together? In what way has that person influenced you as you prepare for your life as a teacher today? Is that person still teaching? And......is that person still happy teaching? What teaching changes has that person made in his/her teaching over the past year?
I am not in contact with any of my past teachers, but I have observed a few of them during my time at Caldwell. I observed my kindergarten teacher, 4th grade teacher my 5th grade teacher. While I was observing my 5th grade teacher, my old BSI teacher came in to say hello. As far as I know, these teachers are all still happy to be teaching. They still had the same happy, fun personality as when I had them as teacher. They gave me good advice while I was observing them.

I actually am in contact with one of my elementary school teachers who really made a huge impact in my life in sixth grade. We are both peruvian and ever since I was in her class people have always compared us to look similar. I am becoming a teacher and that really let us become close on a professional and friend level. When I was in sixth grade, she took the time to really help me understand math and I've never experienced that. She is still teaching and very happy in the same school she taught me in but now teaching eighth grade. Mt elementary school teacher is very honest and showed me where I should observe to get a feel of every district. She offered me so much advice and guidance over the years of college.
